Live Music Joe Bizelli

February 8 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Joseph Piroli Bizelli was born on August 20th,1985 and raised in New Melle, MO (pop. 485) the son of Maureen and Don Bizelli. His father was in the Marine Corps Counterintelligence division, then a well-respected detective for the Missouri State Highway Patrol for over thirty years. Bizelli’s mother was raised in Troy, MO and was once pulled over by Don and ticketed for speeding. She later became a Paramedic in the same county Don patrolled . He has a younger sister Ann who shares his love of music and they regularly sing and perform together. From the day he was born, his mother had a radio playing music in his room on low volume 24/7. His parents always supported him in everything he did including playing the baritone, tuba, drums, keyboard and guitar. Bizelli attended Daniel Boone Elementary School which he paid tribute to in his song “Follow Me To New Melle”. He then attended Francis Howell Middle School and High School and then St. Charles Community College where he studied Communication. In high school he was Class President, a member of FBLA, played right tackle on the football team, and attended the Boys State leadership program. Bizelli began performing around 2003, playing open mic nights at coffee houses. Then moved to bars, parties, wineries, corporate events, weddings, etc. and eventually played music full time for over two years. In May of 2016 he attended Tin Pan South in Nashville and got to see some professional writers play at the Bluebird. They were so incredibly talented that no one spoke or made a sound while they performed and since that night he knew that was exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He spoke to Neil Thrasher after the show and he gave Bizelli some great advice: “Write about 90 bad songs and you’ll start to get the hang of it. Keep writing and you’ll either get better or you’ll quit.” Since then, Joe has had three songs on the NSAI Top 40 list, a song in the top 10 of the CMT/NSAI National Songwriting Contest, done multiple radio interviews and recently played a sold-out Songwriter’s Round at The Focal Point Theatre in Maplewood, MO. His second Nashville cut “Float Trip” is being released by and up-and-coming artist Cole Sitzlar in August 2018 with a music video.
